FAQs

Do I need ID to enter?

We operate a Challenge 25 policy on the rooftop, so if you’re lucky enough to look under 25 years old, you will be asked to show your ID. Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include a photo driving licence, a passport, a proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.

Can under 18s enter?

Children under 18 years of age are welcome on the rooftop before 5pm. Please note that high chairs are not available.

How can I contact you?

Please note we do not manage late arrivals or last-minute cancellations via email.

You can email us via the widget on the bottom right of the screen.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are always welcome at Bussey #Wooftop Bar (see what we did there?)! We kindly ask that you ensure your pooch remains on a lead at all times and does not disrupt other guests.

What hours are you open?

Monday – Friday: 5pm – 11pm

Saturday – Sunday: 12pm – 11pm

Do you show football matches?

Unfortunately, we do not have screens in our bar, and so we will not be showing any matches.

Will I be charged if I cancel, am late, or don’t show up for my booking?

Your card details will be required to complete your booking but you will not be charged — however, if you don’t show up, are more than 30 minutes late, or cancel your booking with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged a non-refundable fee of £5 per person. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your booking time.

If you’re late, you don’t need to call ahead, your table will be held for as long as possible and we’ll see you when you get here!

Is there wheelchair access/a lift?

If you need the lift to go straight to the top, please let a member of staff know and we will assist you, otherwise, you can get out on the floor just below and head up the short final flight.

Is there bike storage?

There are bike hoops covered by security cameras downstairs. Alternatively, Cycle Hub offers secure and covered parking, and locks at midnight (so your bike is safe overnight). You’ll find it next to Peckham Rye Station.

What safety precautions are in place in light of COVID-19?

At Bussey Rooftop Bar your safety will continue to be our number 1 priority.

Here’s a rundown of safety changes post 19th July 2021.

Bussey Rooftop Bar is a (covered) OUTDOOR venue.

Whilst masks won’t be mandatory on the roof, our staff will continue to do so and we advise customers to do so when moving around the venue.

For now, food and drink ordering will remain on the app.

Spontaneity is BACK, baby & we are back accepting walk ins at the venue – however make sure you arrive early on Friday evenings and weekend to secure a spot. Should you wish to secure a table, you can still do so by booking online

Hand sanitiser will still be widely available.

– All tables, chairs and high-contact areas will be regularly sanitised .

– We are closely following government advice and will adapt the rooftop to ensure we are following official guidelines at all times.

Those are just some of the measures we’re taking to make the rooftop safe. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch via the widget at the bottom right.

Can I book for a group above 10?

It’s wonderful that you’d like to join us!

As our largest table fits 10, we are only able to accept bookings for 10 people at once online.

Please get in touch if you are a group larger than 10 and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We do not take deposits nor do we have a minimum spend requirement.

Please note that in order to manage congestion on the stairwell and at the check-in point, your whole group must be present on the ground floor before being permitted up to the rooftop.

What happens to my booking if it rains?

If you booked a high-top table, you’re in luck — you’ll have cover from the elements so you can carry on having fun! We do not cancel reservations in the event of rain unless in the event of dangerous weather.

Is it free to get in?

Yes – come on down! We accept walk-ins. To secure a table, we recommend making a reservation — bookings are free and you’ll be asked for card details at checkout but you won’t be charged unless you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, don’t show up for your booking, or are late by more than 30 minutes, in which case you will be charged £5 per person.
